Artistic Director - Cumberland County Playhouse (1995-2000 & 2005)
The Cumberland County Playhouse is a year round professional theatre located in Tennessee with an annual budget of 2 million dollars. The plant encompasses three preforming spaces.
The Main Stage is a proscenium space seating 485, the Adventure Stage is a vesatile black-box seating 250 and the Theatre In The Woods is an intimate outdoor thrust seating 225.
As Artistic Director my responsibilities include; the casting and hiring of all acting company members, designers, musical directors, guest directors, choreographers and technicians. Additionaly I worked to produce all outreach and educational programs along with selecting and budgeting the season, directing 3 to 6 productions while maintaining and oveseeing the artistic integerity of all productions.

Founding Artistic Director - Govenor's School for the Arts (1987-1992)
The State of Tennessee commissioned the Governor's School for the Arts. The School is based at Middle Tennessee State University located near Nashville.
The Theatre Program is made up of 18-25 gifted high-school Juniors and Seniors who have been selected from across the state to partcipate in an intense series of summer workshops culminating in a public performance at the end of the summer term. As Artistic Director I was charged with creating a curriculum, teaching, and selecting theatre artists who would participate in acting, movement, voice, and technical instruction. |
